a happy and prosperous land on Earth.
Our State Odisha’s population is 3.74% and Area (1, 55,707 Sq.km) 4.74% compared to our country. Area is 1% more as compared to population. And the natural resources are proportionately much more than that of population. Odisha possesses 21% Rich Mining resource, 9 % thick forestry with fountains and rare medicinal herbs,12% water property (both surface and underground), 8% marine resources (482 km. stretch coastal belt) of India. Moreover, Orissa possesses 14% human resources (about 40 lakhs Odiyas work in Surat (11 lakhs), in Kolkatta (8 lakhs) Delhi (7lakhs) and in other cities and towns as industrial workers, plumbers, gardners and daily wagers. But Odisha is the poorest States of India.

- Political: - Odisha has 51124, villages, 6234 Gram Panchayats, 104 Urban area, Blocks 58 Sub-divisions and 30 districts. Population 3 crores 70 lakhs.
- Social :- 24.13% Scheduled Tribes, 16.08 Scheduled Castes, 5% Muslims, 4% Christians and 50% general castes and OBC of populations.
- Economic :- 47.15% below poverty line BPL, who do not get 2400 calories of food daily, 35% striving group, 10% standard group, 6% privileged group and 2 most privileged group.
- General Economy: - Odisha imports maximum industrial products to the tune of 7500 crores annually. Even the polythene bags are not produced in Odisha. Odisha buys annually agricultural products from other states to the tune of 2500 crores, all products except paddy.
- Education :- About 19 lakhs children get admitted into 42204 primary schools annually and only 2 lakhs children pass out in the H.S.C examination, 17 lakhs children are dumped in our society to live in the unhealthy situation of KOLKATA, DELHI, SURAT, GURGAON, MUMBAI, CHENNAI, BANGALORE, AND CHANDIGARH etc. This creates a general notion that the Odia is poor. Illiterate and beggar.
- Health:-38 babies out of 1000 (6/1000 in India) and 12 pregnant mothers out of 1000 (5/1000 in India) die in Odisha out of malnutrition. This is highest in Asia.
- Corruptions :- Due to illiteracy, poverty and lack of consciousness corruption has touched its peak and now the Government loan has gone upto Rs. 40000 crores. The Govt. is unable to pay salaries to the employees and also in capable to pay salaries to the employees and also in capable to give state’s share for various developmental schemes of Govt. of India.
CONSIDERING ALL THESE FACTS, FIGURES, HISTORY, GEOGRAPHY, AND DEMANDS, IT HAS BEEN DECIDED THAT ODISHA NEEDS A MORAL, SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL AND ECONOMIC POSITIVE REVOLUTION WITHOUT MALICE, VIOLENCE AND FEAR.
THE NAME OF THE MOVEMENT – SUKHI ODISHA ABHIYAN.
